Pre-launch filmmaker meetup
An informal get-together at the studio ahead of the official opening. Come and see the spaces before anyone else, meet other filmmakers working in the region, and tell us what you would want from a facility like this. No pitch, no presentation — just the room, the kit and the people.

Studio Open Day
The official opening of Cumbria Film Studios. Drop in any time — take a tour of both studios, the green room and the production office, see the lighting and camera setups running live, and meet the local creative community over a drink.

AI in Media
Artificial intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept — it is actively reshaping how we create, consume and distribute media. For this edition of Tech Tuesday, Tech District Cumbria comes to Cumbria Film Studios for an evening in collaboration with NEXI.tv, digging into the practicalities of AI in the creative sector.
This is not about “robots making art”. It is about how local media firms are using machine learning and generative tools to speed up workflows, personalise content, and reach global audiences from the heart of Cumbria.
